BOSTON CELTICS
SHOCKING: Wycliffe “Wyc” Grousbeck is on a move to sale his club ” BOSTON CELTICS ” to a wealthy secret buyer
The marketing agency Team Marketing has formed a collaboration with the International Basketball Federation (Fiba) to manage the commercial rights for the Basketball Champions League (BCL) and the Intercontinental Cup.
Details of the contract include:
– The strategic partnership is set to last from 2024 to 2028.
– Team will provide guidance to Fiba ClubCo on strategy and market sponsorship rights for key properties.
– Initially, the agency will focus on enhancing the commercial approach for Europe’s BCL and Fiba Intercontinental Cup, refining their go-to-market strategy for 2024.
– Team has been granted a global mandate to exclusively sell marketing rights on behalf of Fiba ClubCo, and will also extend support to BCL Americas and BCL Asia.
Context:
Fiba ClubCo was established through a partnership between Fiba and the US-based sports and media investment group GCBH LP in January 2020.
This collaboration marks Team Marketing’s expansion beyond soccer, where it primarily handles the sales of club competition rights for UEFA, including the Champions League, worldwide. Relevent Sports Group now holds the contract for UEFA’s club competition US media rights sales for the 2024 to 2027 cycle, ending Team’s exclusive sales role.
Comment:
Patrick Comninos, CEO of BCL, expressed satisfaction with the partnership, citing Team Marketing’s track record in generating and growing value for global club competitions. He emphasized the need for clarity in the European club competition landscape for fans and stakeholders.
Future Plans:
Team Marketing aims to diversify its business beyond UEFA club soccer competitions and is seeking partnerships with more sports.
