Chicago Bears
Colin Cowherd strongly criticized the Chicago Bears media for what he perceives as misguided loyalty to Justin Fields.
As of now, Justin Fields remains a member of the Chicago Bears, but this status is subject to change, especially with the approaching NFL Draft. Colin Cowherd, a prominent sports broadcaster, has pointed fingers at the Chicago media for what he perceives as overly protective and misguided loyalty to the 24-year-old quarterback.
In a recent episode of The Herd, Cowherd didn’t mince words, criticizing both Fields and the Chicago press. He accused the local media of defending, elevating, protecting, and promoting Fields throughout the season, suggesting they may be basing their opinions on his performances at Ohio State. Cowherd compared Fields to Zach Wilson, highlighting Fields’ second-half season statistics and emphasizing that New York media doesn’t hesitate to critique Wilson, contrasting it with what he sees as an overly supportive stance from Chicago media.
Cowherd didn’t spare Zach Wilson from his criticism either, expressing strong sentiments against the young New York Jets backup quarterback. As for Fields, Cowherd might soon see his desire for the Bears to move on from the former Georgia and Ohio State standout come to fruition, with the mention of Caleb Williams as a potential new figure in the quarterback position for the team.
