The 32-year-old Rangers icon from Ibrox has been featured prominently in the promotional launch of the Formula 1 team’s new kit, creating quite a buzz. Castore, a £1 billion retailer, has unveiled its Oracle Red Bull Racing range, featuring the Rangers captain once again in its promotional campaign.

James Tavernier, the Rangers skipper, has previously served as the poster boy for Castore’s neutral Football Training Collection, introduced in October. The decision to include Tavernier in the Oracle Red Bull Racing promotion reflects the growing appeal of the Ibrox captain.

Although Tavernier is well-known in Scottish football, his recognition has extended beyond regional boundaries due to his notable goal-scoring performances as a right-back. Castore evidently considers Tavernier’s image as influential not only within the Rangers community but also in broader sports circles, highlighting his commitment and success on the field.

During the promotional launch, Tavernier expressed his admiration for the competitiveness of Formula 1 and Oracle Red Bull Racing’s ability to meet challenges. He emphasized the importance of continuous improvement in sports and shared his enthusiasm for being a fan of Oracle Red Bull Racing.

The collaboration between Oracle Red Bull Racing and James Tavernier coincides with a significant period for Castore. In November, the disruptive brand achieved a staggering valuation of £1 billion, challenging established sportswear giants like Adidas and Nike with its tailored designs. However, recent setbacks, including issues with kit performance, led to the termination of deals with Aston Villa and Newcastle United.

Rangers, Castore’s initial venture into football, entered into a “multi-year” partnership in 2020, with the current agreement scheduled to conclude in 2025. Despite challenges in other football operations, Castore continues to showcase its products with high-profile ambassadors like James Tavernier.
